Smugglers Cove
The sun is supposedly coming out - soon!
We're heading for Port Sidney Marina to spend Labour Day weekend with boating friends from the Crescent Beach Yacht Club and it would certainly be nice to finish off the boating season with summer weather. Right now it feels more like November and we're anchored in Smugglers Cove waiting for the wind to go down and the seas to calm enough to make the crossing to Nanaimo, then South to Sidney.
Smugglers Cove is a lovely little anchorage -but with a narrow and rather treacherous opening to navigate. We are totally protected from the wind and have a stern line tied to a boulder on shore, so all should be well for the night.
I'm waiting for the sun to show it's face so we can carry on toward Sidney!

wow... i wish i could afford to do what you doing... i imagine how nice it would be to go boating with friends... i also feel that british columbia very much the ideal place for me... a place with natural beauty, lots of stuff to do outdoors... hmmm wish to go there live the future..
All of us have some dream places to visit and perhaps it is one of dream place to go for million of people. I always feel happy to read such stories because there is someone who is enjoying the life in a better way.

I think this is a wonderful place to be there and I can't forget that sensational moments when i was there. It always happen once or twice in our life and we should enjoy it fully.

That's a great point to bring up. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. In Crescent Beach Yacht Club,the scenery is incredible, the food is extremely reasonable and the people are unbelievably friendly. It’s a hidden gem. The Members at Crescent Beach Yacht Club, are indeed lucky to have such a great spot to call our own.The only thing that doesn’t change is the Crescent Beach Swimming Club’s dedication to make each summer a better summer both for its permanent inhabitants and the summer dwellers.For me, what was true 46 years ago remains true today, and it is our tradition of providing this type of summer experience for members and their families which makes our Club such a strong institution.
