Winter Sports
The good thing about summer coming to an end is that winter is fast approaching! One of my favourite saying is 'There are 2 seasons in British Columbia - Winter and Construction'
Winter in British Columbia is fabulous for the snowboarders, skiers and mountain resorts. Our family used to board and ski at Whistler/Blackcomb each season and we loved it. Our kids still do and now our granddaughter is learning to enjoy it too.
She's learning to ski first but it won't be long until Burton snowboards are on her wish list. Actually that's a great gift idea to keep in mind! She and her daddy would be thrilled to have new boards.
All the new 2009 gear is arriving in store right now at Christy Sports and it's fun to see the new styles and new technology. Skiing and boarding have come a long way since I first started skiing way back in the 20th century!

if there is one thing that i am dying to try it is to go snowboarding... i have never tried it before and it is definitely in my bucket list... checked out burton and they have the coolest gears!

it is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.
This post is full of winter lover comments because that is the only remarkable season to enjoy and to play with nature. I am a big lover of sun and beaches so I often go to Mauritius for spending 12 months every year.

Both of my kids started on snowboards (Santa Cruz though) and both ended up wanting to switch to skis and love those better.
