Furniture Shopping
Crystal, Pop, Kent and I went shopping today for a kitchen table and chair set. Crystal and Jim want a set so they can invite us for dinner! Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it...
We really liked the sales lady at the first store, she wasn't pushy or annoying, but she wasn't coming up with any great deals so we were off to another.
Crystal knew pretty well what she wanted so it was just a case of finding the best value for her dollar. Kent and Grandpa were bored with shopping after a couple of hours so Crystal and I headed out on our own.
As you can see from the picture, we shopped AND had fun!
We finally found the exact table and chair set, got a fabulous price then went back to the first store to tell the sales lady how much we liked her! I guess she liked us too as she lowered the price by another $100.00 to beat the competition and did not charge tax (it's 13% here in BC - ouch!) - and Crystal ended up with 8 chairs rather than 6.
You can never have too many chairs, right? What time is dinner, Crystal?

Apparantly you're quite the charmer when it comes to getting a good deal, so Heather, I'm taking you to garage sales with me this summer!(I'm awful at haggling over price)
Oh, and in answer to your last question, yes we have set the date.(summer, in Maui on the beach) Come to think of it, maybe you and your friend could've gotten us a better deal on the resort ;-)

Great set! We have one very similar and we absolutely love it!
It's hard to sit and drink beer and play poker at all night though - your bum gets sore!
